Perfecting the art of efficient turns and reducing weight, the Wayback 82 Ecore by K2 reduces weight for the ascent with an Ecore Balsa core with flax fibre stringers and a SnowPhobic top coat to combat the accumulation of snow on the top. It has a wide 82 mm waist and a secure and powerful construction. The Hybritech construction improves manoeuvrability and makes the ski more lightweight.
The Torsión Box construction is the base of the biggest range of skis designed by K2. Depending on the dimensions of the ski board, and the quantity of flex and torsion included in the ski, one model can be very different from another from torsion box. The versatility in the construction allows all types of ski to be made, from beginner level to expert. While there will be significant differences between the skis, they will all share the characteristics of being permissive, response and correction capacity, and the energy and response that can be found in all torsion box skis.
The Carbon Web system envelops the core in a carbon mesh with the filaments being precisely positioned on precise angles providing additional rigidity and torsion where it is most needed.
