Ski Touring
Named after the famed peak in Kashmir, the Dynafit Nanga Parbat ski is ready to tackle the most demanding ski mountaineering terrain. They are light enough for speed touring, yet burly and forgiving enough to handle variable and difficult snow conditions. To make the Nanga Parbat as light as possible, Dynafit crafted it with an ultra−light paulownia wood core that's reinforced with a torsionally stiff carbon speed stringer and Quadrax biaxial laminate. The mountaineering−ready construction features a wider tip, proportionally narrow under−binding width and a pintail that provides sensitive ski control, even at high speeds. These features come in handy, because you can easily carve whatever turn you need with the tail rocker, and the pintail shape lets you dump speed in an emergency and makes it easy to slip the ski into pack ski−carry systems. The Scoop Rocker tip handles variable snow with ease and allows smooth, easy turn initiation. The triple−radius sidecut is highlighted by a tight radius at the bindings that provides excellent grip in dicey terrain.
Dynafit covered all of its bases for the high−altitude enthusiast, who doesn't like to compromise in weight and features. The Flex Tip tapers to a very narrow point and is made almost entirely of lightweight carbon, which reduces weight and dampens vibration. Micro sidewalls use less material than traditional constructions and extend deeper into the core of the ski, making them torsionally stiffer and more resistant to impact than standard sidewalls. This also ensures optimal load capacity over difficult terrain and direct transfer of power, so you always stay in control.
FEATURES:
Field of use: Ski Touring
Unique triple radius design is longer in the front for sweeping turns and shorter in the back for tight turns
Scoop rocker tip makes it easier to soak up variable conditions from fluff to crust
Paulownia wood core with carbon speed stringer and Quadrax biaxial laminate
Micro−sidewalls are shorter yet reach deeper into the core which helps prevent blowouts common in heavier walls
Tail rocker with a gently increasing radius is designed for good control at speed on hard snow
Pintails make these a breeze to slide into your pack loops for a booter while reducing rear float so you don't feel the need to lean back
Flex tip uses a three dimensional carbon inlay that helps absorb vibration while removing unnecessary wood weight
Carbon speed stringers increase the stiffness and torsional rigidity of the ski while reducing vibration without the weight
Speedskin tip and tail skin notches are instantly compatible with Dynafit skins
